Competitions:

  • Chem-E-Car Competition

Awards:

  • Ohio University came in 2nd place in the Chem-E-Car competition, which secured a spot for the national Chem-E-Car competition later this year in Salt Lake City.  The fuel-cell (Parker 5-cell) powered car operates by electrolyzing ammonia on board to produce the hydrogen required by the PEMFC.  This in situ hydrogen generating technology was invented at OhioUniversity by Gerardine G. Botte, Director of the Electrochemical Engineering Research Laboratory (EERL).
